GBS Weekly News Update #1. Henlo World.

Welcome to the new weekly news update. Starting today and every Monday, forever hopefully, we will be posting news updates on the company. As well as product updates, and announcements. We think people will appreciate a peek behind the proverbial curtain. We work very hard and are proud of the work we do. ~ T

Gamebox upgrades to a new lab!
With our big move underway and the holiday coming up on Thursday, orders and communications will be slightly delayed. We’ve hired more onsite staff to better handle more day to day operations. Additionally our new lab will expand our fabrication capabilities. The added space means our print farm is growing to better suite the demand for the product as well as give us the room to add proper CO2 laser cutters.

Consolization News
Screen Freezing Issues on Consolizers on power off has been fixed in the latest firmware patch. ~ While this technically isn’t a freeze a lot of people complained that we didn’t clear the screen before a power off, so now we do. All future boards will ship with this firmware. If you have a unit you want to update, inquire in the Consolization channel, depending on your model and set up the procedures can be different, but we’ll get you squared away. Lead time on orders should drop significantly after the holidays.

Cartboy News
Cartboy V2 progresses smoothly. Pi0V2 Support added. Case has been updated for an easier and cleaner install without having to cut any PCBs.

Addressing the Chip Shortage
If you have been paying attention to the last few years you will know the global supply chain is currently broken. We have a ready supply of the parts we need moving forward but we will be shifting our architecture to reflect availability. This will not effect the end user experience, but we thought we should address the concern. We are far from being out of chips, but we’re thinking of switching up flavors.

That’s all for this week! Check back next Monday for more updates. 🙂
